BIO

My name is Briana Mack, and I am a recent graduate of Savannah State University, Class of 2016.  I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Audio/Video Production and a minor in Business Marketing. During my matriculation at Savannah State University, I took several courses such as Writing for Digital Media, Mass Media and Society, and Intro/Advanced Audio and Video Production which have helped me utilize my skills to become a Multi-Media Journalist.

Through Savannah State University, I learned how to possess a strong on-air presentation as shown in many of my class/internship projects. I also have first-hand experience with using iPhones, social media, multiple editing software, and websites. I have used each of these on a daily basis.

I am computer savvy, and I know extensive information about the use of social and multimedia platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, and Youtube. I am also experienced with computer programs such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Avid ProTools, iMovie, GV Edius, GV Stratus, ENPS, and DMG Pathfire. Through the news station at Savannah State, Tigers Roar TV, my internship at WJBF News Channel 6, and my internship with Marketing Entertainment Lifestyle Trends, I learned how to write stories that are web and television savvy, and how to have a strong marketing mindset. I can also write many types of news stories including entertainment, local, events, and stories with both a soft lead and a hard lead.

I would enjoy the challenge of working at a news station. I believe it will show me how to fully utilize the skills I already have while developing new ones. I believe this would be an exciting opportunity for me as I move forward into a technical world.
