AFRICAN-AMERICAN ACTORS BOYCOTT THE OSCARS

After this year’s nominations for the 2016 Oscars were released, African-American actors and actresses were both disappointed and embarrassed.
For the second year in a row, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has gotten criticism because no African Americans were nominated in the four major acting categories, despite the success of several productions including Straight Out of Compton, Creed, Concussion, and Beasts of No Nation.

Things seem to be getting worse for Cleveland Brown’s quarterback, Johnny Manziel. As the weeks go by, fans wonder what will happen next with Manziel now that the police have opened a criminal investigation into a domestic violence assault complaint against him by former girlfriend Colleen Crowley.
The announcement was made the day after police closed a prior investigation into allegations that Manziel had hit the former girlfriend.

Tuesday, Feb. 2, FX premiered its latest television series, "American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson."
American Crime Story is a new anthology series which will center on some of history’s most famous tragedies.It's following the trend set by the podcast "Serial" and Netflix show "Making of a Murderer."
